Amira Shiraz, Inc. was established in 2009 and is an offspring of music entertainment company The Real Life Show. ASI is the kind of agency that understands the importance of a personal brand having worked with artistes such as Kymani Marley, Shaggy and Sean Paul.

As a Public and Media Relations company, we cater specifically to the sports industry and celebrity clientele and our dedicated team of publicists works tirelessly to ensure that your brand is always represented positively. Services include Public Relations, Media Relations, Event Planning, Management and Branding.

At ASI we believe that your reputation should be nurtured and protected and we work proactively to ensure that your brand is represented positively at all times. Through partnerships with various charities and causes, in addition to traditional media placement, ASI can take your personal brand to the next level.

The founder and Senior Publicist at ASI, Amira Hamid is no new arrival to the world of media. She began her career in the fashion industry and quickly recognized her love and aptitude for all things media-related. As a result she devoted her energies to launching an internet radio station which was geared toward garnering exposure for Caribbean entertainers. While her first venture enjoyed great success within the Caribbean community Amira longed to merge her avid sports interest with her love for media.

Liz Trubey
Better known as simply Trubey to most, she graduated from West Chester University with a B.A. in English and minors in Journalism and Art.  Liz was born and raised in the Philadelphia area (Malvern), and is not ashamed to admit that she has no plans on leaving. New to ASI, she likes the combination of creativity and the wonderful world of sports and entertainment, and enjoys that no two days are the same. Liz is obsessive about spending time with her four dogs. She also is an avid celeb gossip follower (hello, Perez Hilton), loves playing soccer and will blow off almost any prior engagement to go to a Phillies game. Speaking of...Ryan Howard, call her when you're single.

Mia Spadoni
Mia, a graduate of Lehigh University, has a B.A. in Journalism with Design Arts and Communication minors. Living in Center City Philadelphia, she is working towards a Masters of Arts in Broadcasting, Telecommunication and Mass Media from Temple University, and will be graduating in Spring of 2011. As an avid (Philadelphia) sports fan since birth, and a former D1 volleyball player, she found ASI a perfect fit. Mia will try everything once and could quite possibly have an addiction to shopping. She loves to do arts and crafts, believes nothing beats a Philles game, terribly missses Brian Dawkins in Eagle green, and usually has her Shelties, Lito and Chase, by her side at all times.

Khaila Edward

Khaila is an Associate Publicist at Amira Shiraz Inc.  She possesses nearly a decade of journalism, advertising, PR and marketing experience, having worked at advertising agencies, PR agencies and in corporate communication positions in Philadelphia, Washington DC, Massachusetts and the Caribbean.  

Khaila holds a B.A. in Communication/Graphic Design from Howard University, where she graduated Magna cum Laude. She is currently completing her M.A. in Communication from Villanova University, where her thesis research examines the organizational rhetoric of large corporations in social media. Khaila brings a strong background in writing and strategic planning, media relations and social media to each client relationship.
